About The Touring Eye

My Journey

In 2021, I (The Touring Eye aka Elton) embraced a nomadic lifestyle, travelling across the UK and Europe in my trusty 1996 Hymer motorhome, affectionately named ‘Star’. This journey has allowed me to combine my love for photography with a desire to explore diverse cultures and landscapes.

The goal behind this long-term photography project is to document as much of the world in images and video as I can and share that beauty, those experiences and the people that I meet with my audience.

I have been taking travel, landscape and wildlife since single digt age (its a long time!) and to travel and document the world has been a deam of mine since I first saw Sir David Attenborough on my telling screen.

After a career in IT, with specific interest in Internet technologies, I finally couldn’t ignore the constant pull towards travel.

This project takes me all over the UK at the moment with plans to head into Europe and further abroad which puts me in a unique position of being able to photograph people not just nationally, but internationally too! Something I’m really excited to do.

I am a total professional ensuring my customers satisfaction for every engagement they have with me. I have been told numerous times that I have a knack for putting my clients at ease when working with them on photoshoots, whether that is iris photography or portrait photography.

I have a preference for creative, emotive type portraiture and candids where the subject is not forcing a smile. But quite happy to provide those happy family and couple portraits too.
